We are an ideal base for those who wish to explore all of the Lake District, the Eden Valley and both the Solway and South Cumbria coasts.  Come and enjoy sailing or swimming at Lake Ullswater, walking, scambling or mountaineering over the local beautiful fells and visit historical Penrith, Lowther Park and Carlisle and other local centres of art and historical interest.  Take the local steamer from Glenridding to Pooley Bridge and experience the stunning beauty of Ullswater and her surrounding Fells. There are plenty of walks for the less adventurous as well as challenges for the more serious climbers.

If it's simply peace and tranquility you seek then our gardens are ideal for those who just want to relax and soak up the ambiance.
